Maximyze® Development Team Recognized
MEMPHIS, TN, USA, October 9, 2014 – Buckman is proud to announce that the Maximyze® Development Team has been awarded a 2014 Innovation Award by Memphis Business Quarterly (MBQ). The award was given in recognition of our enzymatic technologies enabling a more sustainable way to produce paper and paper products.
MBQ Publisher Kenneth Neill described the awards this way: "Keep in mind what these awards are all about. Much as we all value business acumen and financial success, this celebration is not about entrepreneurship or profitability. The Innovation Awards salute vision and endurance, and most of all, they celebrate real breakthroughs. There's nothing inevitable about what our winners have done. These are real people solving real problems."
Buckman was one of four recipients of the Innovation Award, along with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, University of Tennessee Health & Science Center, and Literacy Mid-South. The awards were presented by MBQ and The University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business & Economics on the University of Memphis campus at the end of September.
