MEMPHIS, TN, USA, April 13, 2015 - Buckman has announced that its Southern Cone General Manager Carmen Rodrigues will retire in July 2015, and Paulo Beltrão will assume leadership of this region. Rodrigues has been with Buckman for 33 years, 16 of which she spent as the Southern Cone GM. After making a tremendous contribution to the business and a significant impact on the Southern Cone organization and its people, she is now retiring to enjoy time with her family and friends.
Paulo Beltrão will assume leadership of Buckman Southern Cone as its new general manager effective May 1, 2015. Beltrão has successfully led the Leather Division for Southern Cone for the past 11 years, producing a significant increase in sales during the time period.
"Paulo brings a wealth of experience in leading Buckman's Global Leather Workgroup and the Buckman Argentina organization – experience that will be valuable in leading our Southern Cone operating company," said Buckman President and COO Kathy Buckman Gibson. Relatedly, Luis Fernando Stertz has been appointed Leather Division Manager for Buckman Southern Cone. Stertz has been with Buckman for eight years in a management position on the Leather team, and he brings many years of experience in the Brazilian leather market.
